Ocean View Resort | Architecture + Interior Design

A City know for it’s promenade and surf breaks, Seaside Oregon’s namesake is derived from a once historic summer resort built in the 1870s. The Ocean View Resort has been a staple in the community since 1988 located on the promenade and just beyond the dune grass and Pacific ocean waves. Centering around family friendly resort offerings, the repositioning of the resort will be a new way to experience this beach town. Taking cues from natural surroundings, the renovation will modernize the exterior, interior, and provide retail and rental offerings for guest to enjoy year round.

The design will infuse a blend of approachable materials like wood, living greenery, metal, stone, and soft textures in contemporary forms that are both functional ad comfortable. The goal with this renovation is to connect out-of-towners and locals alike to rent gear, enjoy a meal together, and a place to enhance your vacation. Revised furniture layouts, layered lighting, beachy material palette, and modern lines will provide a welcoming space that again is the must stay destination in Seaside.

The project is currently in the feasibility phase with renovation work slated for late 2023 with partners Columbia Hospitality.
